Access car
My 80 year old mother-in-law is driving a V reg automatic Scenic which has seen better days. She suffers from osteo-arthritis in her shoulders and needs a car with relatively high access that she can just slide into. Also, she cannot reach up to close the tailgate but rails against putting her shopping on the back seat. We need something smaller than the Scenic to give her more wiggle room to get in and out of the car when parking it in her garage. She also complains now about the Scenic being 'heavy' and bit of a struggle to drive. Automatic transmission is essential. Fortunately, price is not really an issue. New or second-hand, does such a car exist?

Peugeot 207SW 1.6 4-speed auto. The back window lifts up independently of the tailgate for popping stuff into the boot. Some current Renault Scenics also have this feature.
