What's a good car for £10,000 to replace a Yaris?

At present we have a 2004 Toyota Yaris which we are looking to change. What would be a good equivalent replacement for this? We have a budget of between £8000 - £12000. We have been looking at the Kia Rio and Venga, but are open to other suggestions.

A Kia Rio would be a good choice, as would the very similar Hyundai i20. I'd also recommend a Suzuki Swift or Skoda Fabia.
