I'm considering buying a 2008 Jaguar XF with 2.7-litre diesel engine. Mileage is 60,000 and I would like an opinion if this high mileage might give problems over the next say 30,000 miles. It has been serviced by Jaguar.

That's interesting. How much? It's probably the cheapest XF diesel there has ever been. The engine earned its stripes in the S-Type, XJ, Peugeot 407 coupe, Citroen C6 and Land Rover Discovery III. Can have turbo trouble (the turbos get very hot). Will need timing belts soon, so worth costing that. But not a generally troublesome engine.
