What sporty looking but reliable car would you recommend on a budget of £8000?

I would like something a bit sporty looking, low tax and insurance, reliable and economic for under £8000. What models should I be looking for?

Look at a Suzuki Swift. They offer excellent value for money with low running costs, and it will also be very reliable. It also looks pretty good, in my opinion. Also consider the Ford Fiesta - the 1.25-litre engine is very tough, and your budget will get you a good example from 2016.
