What's a good small estate car?

I am looking to replace my Peugeot 207 SW with something newer. I need the estate car for the dog but do not want anything bigger than the Peugeot really. What would you recommend?

Unfortunately there aren't many estate cars as small as your Peugeot - manufacturers are now concentrating their efforts on small crossover SUVs, instead. One of the few still on sale is the Skoda Fabia estate - and, fortunately, it's a very good little estate. There's plenty of room for your dog and a low lip will help it getting in and out.
