Which larger estate would you recommend for carrying medieval reenactment gear?

I'm looking for a large estate to carry quite a lot of kit for medieval reenactment gear. Ideally something not that new but reasonably reliable from say 2009 onwards. It's for my daughter and two children, who are nine and 11 years old.

The Skoda Superb Estate has loads of space and represents good value for money on the used market. There's a wide range of petrol and diesel engines. Go for a petrol unless your daughter covers lots of motorway miles. A Toyota Avensis would be another sensible (if slightly boring) option.
