What's more important when buying a used car - mileage or age?

I'm looking at buying a used car. It's 12 years old but has very low mileage. I've done initial checks, looked at its MoT history, however, should I be happy with a low mileage and not worry about the age? Or should I get a coupe nearer five years old but with a higher mileage?

Newer and higher mileage is always better than older and lower mileage unless the older car is 'classic' and has been perfectly preserved.
