02 1.1 Oil and handbrake light stay on - Nige 101
When starting from cold the above lights do not go out - the oil level is correct and the engine performs fine - if I move the handbrake slightly both lights flicker as though they are connected in some way - after around 15 minutes of driving both slowly fade to going out as they should - any ideas please?

Handbrake light usually doubles up as the low brake fluid warning light. I take it you've also checked the level of that? It probably isn't the cause of the problem (sounds more electrical - bad earth maybe?) but it's still worth checking the brake fluid level anyway, seeing as the light for it is on.
