this thread is getting longer then the mitsuibushi waiting list....and thats saying something
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - greeny
Just a couple of us waiting now then.

Please let us know what you think of them when you get them. :-)
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - yorkshirelass
I'm still holding my breath as the dealer was supposed to phone me today with the details of this blue czc2 they said i can have ,but no phone call. Why arnt i surprised !!!!!!
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - waiting impatiently
Tried to buy the dealers orange demo I argued that since he can't get the cars there is no point having a demo but he would not agree!
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - yorkshirelass
they r getting cars ,they r playing us for fools .My dealer told me he has had cancellation and passed them on to other dealers this blue one i am supposed to be getting was a cancellation and they were going to send it to a chap in Scotland till i kicked up a fuss.
Well i am giving them till the middle of next week and if they don't come up with a car for me they can take a run and jump, after all we are not talking about a Porch or a Aston Martin we are talking about a low cost car,.
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - yorkshirelass
Well folks iv done it' iv thrown in the towel .
My dealer was supposed to phone me yesterday with details of this blue czc2he did not nor did he today,
So iv gone out and bought a new vauxhall tigra i collect it on thursday.
when i phoned the agent up to cancel my order he didn't give a dam he wasn't even apologetic just said that's fine iv got a buyer for it.
I think the Mitsubishi dealers have been very unhelpful and i am sad to say i wont deal with them again.
I will miss logging on to you all and i hope you all get your cars and enjoy them as for me i will be the girl driving a nice new tigra with a big smile on her face LOL
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - waiting impatiently
No Yorkshire Lass No. You must be near the top of the list now they are arriving just not very quickly. I thought your grand daughter would be riding in the back with you :-(

I have considered the Tigra too but I want the extra occasional seats for my young relatives.

Sad that you are going - but enjoy the Tigra
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - welshlad
it was bath day for my tangerine terror today i decided a sponge bath was overdue rather then a trip to the jetwash.

washed chamoised dry and then a coat of turtle wax ICE and i attacked the alloy's with a brush and cilit bang degreaser looks like it just rolled out of the showroom :-)

Hi Guys

Not sure if I can wait until Sept (at the earliest). I've sent an email to NedCar where they make the Colt. Waiting for a reply, may be they'll email next week. Heres hoping for some news.

I'm thinking of looking at other cabrios. Anyone out there know anything about Tigra, Astra Twin Top or 207cc.

Sorry to hear Yorkshirelass has given up on the CZC but I sympathise. Hope we hear from you from time to time about your Tigra.

Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - Satisfied Carol
Hi

Been lurking on this discussion board since April. Ordered a silver CZC2 on 17/03/08 and had all the dealings with Mitsubishi UK customer care that most, if not all of you, have been reporting. Glad to say I took delivery of my car today after a 5 1/2 month wait.

Local dealer was good at keeping me in the picture as best he could. He also resolved a last minute hitch very well. Early days yet but first impressions of the car are very good and the memory of the frustration of the wait is fading.

Found a lot of useful info on here. In fact I would go as far to say the viewing of this forum was partly what kept me prepared to carry on waiting (though I must admit I am not sure how much longer I would have let it drag on for).

By the way I am in North Derbyshire and managed to have the top down for most of the afternoon. Hope those continuing to wait are satisfied soon.
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - yorkshirelass
waiting impatently.
i will miss you all but ill keep in touch,
iv just taken my grandaughter to see the new tigra she loves it says we will have to leave grandad at home and she can cruise in the front with me, oh to be thirteen again.
LOL
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - Avant
Don't leave us, Yorkshirelass. When you've had your Tigra for a bit, start a new thread and tell us how you like it.
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - yorkshirelass
Didn't no you loved me so much HA HA HA.
Of course i will keep in touch, you all will be boasting about your colts so ill have to tell you all the good things about my Tigra hopefully i wont be telling any bad bits.
One good thing straight away is my spare parts wont be going down with Titanic 2 which is what i think happened to my missing black czc2.
But never mind my Tigra is very beautiful.
PS the spare parts i mentioned are car parts ,that's for those out there with twisted minds.LOL
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - carrich
Took delivery of our Orange CZC2 today. My husband drove it home from the dealer and all seems fine. Unfortunately have not driven it myself yet as my daughter had an accident requiring the remainder of the day to be spent at A & E!!! At least Mitsubishi had prepared me for the concpet of waiting!!! Looks nice on the driveway though.
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - yorkshirelass
P.P.S
The Tegra has a spare wheel, unlike the colt which the salesman forgot to tell me when i ordered it, only found that out on this thread.LOL
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - yorkshirelass
carrich,
Hope your daughter is ok?
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - yorky
I've been checking out other cars today. Test driving a Tigra tomorrow. Looked at the Micra today. Will probably do a test drive, might consider - Honest John reckons its one to consider. I like the glass roof which makes it feel bigger when roof up.

Saw Adam from the Bury St Edmunds dealers at Nowton Park Motor Show today. Had no news for me. We shouldnt blame the Sales people. Unfortunately they are on the front line. Its the ones higher that we should blame. I've emailed Ned Car in the Netherlands but I don't suppose that will make any difference.
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - carrich
Thanks for asking. My daughter is now fine - badly split lip tripping over in garden, needed repair by a plastic surgeon. She came home from hospital today in the CZC and loved it. Reallly glad we held out for a four seater car. Went to local Tesco today and really relished posing putting down the roof in the car park. Hope you all get to enjoy yours soon.

By the way can you believe the dealer didn't have the mats we wanted ready for us - is 19 weeks not long enough notice for a set of mats!!!

Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - yorkshirelass
yorky let us no what you thought about the tigra, i thought it was a realy quiet and smooth drive, the one i have bought is only a 1400 engine but seemed to have lots of pull im realy pleased with it.the boot space is not as big but thats no problem as we will do the shopping in my husbands mondeo. i went to halfords and got new mats especialy for the tigra £24 they cost i dont no how much czc ones are but it was nice to be able to go to shop and get what you want without a wait
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - greeny
Well Yorkshirelass, I am very sad to see you go :-(
But how exciting that you are getting your new car so soon. Keep in touch and let us know how you are getting on.
I am holding out still for the CZC2 (for my sins!!!) 17 weeks! Sorry to bore you all with my countdown!
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - yorky
Hi all
This is the response from the factory in Holland.

"I will be out of the office starting 24-07-2008 and will not return
until
18-08-2008.

Due to Holidays NedCar factory is closed."

From what I can gather this is where the Colt is first built before going off to Italy. Not good news. More delays. FACTORY SHUTDOWN (on holiday).

Hi Yorkshirelass
Thought the Tigra was very nice but unsure about only having two seats. I tested a 1.8 & found it to be a good drive with the top down too. Think I need to test drive the Micra before I decid what I'm going to do. No wait with a Tigra though and only a couple of weeks for a Micra. What colour did you get. The one I tried was a lovely blue - antigua.

Anyone got their CZC3 yet. I havnt but you knew that already ha ha!!!!
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - yorkshirelass
Hi Yorky,i was also unsure about the two seats but having spoken to the family i decided to go for it ,my grandchildren are almost grown and they can come one at a time, mind you we are lucky to have a second car so they can come out with us in that.
i went for the new silver although i didn't want a silver in the czc2 i decided on a silver in the Tigra.
I phoned the agent up today after arranging 7 days free insurance with a company they are with and asked if they could fit rear reversing sensors before i collect her on Thursday the salesman i spoke to on Sat was on his day off but they said they would get back to me. not having much faith in dealers i thought hear we go don't hold your breath.
Well within the hour i got a phone call back from the service department to say no problems they would fit it in time for me to collect Thursday 6 pm. so well pleased i am.
Its looks like there are going to be lots more delays if the factory is shutting down for the holidays ,that is sad for all you out here still waiting but any droughts i had about canceling have now gone.
keep in contact let us no what you decide to do and i will let you no what i think of the Tigra LOL
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - waiting impatiently
Well I have a Colt CZC1!!!!!
It's not my car I still have no delivery date on that. I found it on the internet. It has 35 miles on it and the downside is I will be registered as second owner but I can have it as soon as I can get over to pick it up.

Mitsubishi customer service and my own dealer are not very impressed. From what I gather a registered Mitsubishi dealer did a deal with another car dealer for 5 cars back in December and they were delivered in May so he has been selling them since then. It seems that when customers are waiting dealers are not supposed to do those deals so I may have stirred up a hornets nest.

Anyway...
All of a sudden my dealer is getting in touch with Lance something or other head of Mitsubishi and seeing what he can do to keep the sale but I think I have entered into a new contract anyway.

So i just need to get out of work early to go and get it - anybody know how to fit hearing aids so they could take over for me while I collect my new car??? :-)
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - also waiting impatiently
have been following this thread for some time - must have the same dealer as waiting impatiently - been getting the same story - can't log on to system as boss not in - 1st on list - going on holiday etc etc. I can't find one on the internet - where did you find it? Have been waiting now for 12 weeks - know this isn't as long as most people but still a joke. Have had 3 Toyotas and regardless of spec i've wanted have never had to wait more than a week!!
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - waiting impatiently
Try looking on autotrader under used cars rather than new ones. I am not having it as I will explain in a few days but the deal was good. See if you can find it.
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - yorkshirelass
correction Star Silver is the colour not new silver its been a long day at work I'm entitled to a mistake or two.LOL
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - yorkshirelass
Waiting impatiently ,
shame you arnt at my side of the country, I'm a dab hand at fitting the old hearing aids,
just have a tummy bug and go get her, Mind you i would like to no why its first owner let her go or was she a demo?
Any way good luck and keep in contact let us no how she preforms LOL
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - yorky
Hi All and Yorkshirelass
Regarding the Tigra the dealer phoned me today to say if I choose black I can have it within 2 weeks but if I want any other colour it will be 4 to 6 weeks. Any way I'm doing a test drive on a Micra CC on Fri so watch this space. If I choose a Micra I can have it in Aug. Edging my bets at the moment.

Halfords fit sensors. I think they are about £99. Expect the dealer was more. If I get a Tigra I want a sensor too. Vision not too good at the back.
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - thegreatnorm
Hi all,

Well it will be 4 1/2 month wait for me on Saturday. I have emailed Mitsubishi on 3 occasions and have received not one reply - what does that say about their customer service!!!

I have just sent an email to Pininfarina in Italy asking if they can give me any information - I live in hope. If I hear anything I will let you - thats if they are not on their summer shut down.

Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - yorkshirelass
Hi all and yorky,
Tomorrow is my big day collect at 6.30 pm but will stay open for me if i am a bit late getting there with work commitments, i can't wait i no its not the czc2 i ordered but all the excitment had gone out of that, I'm a person of little patience so i surprised myself waiting as long as i did before i canceled,
As for the sensors yorky i agree with you i probably could get them cheaper at Halfords, but i just wanted every thing done and ready to roll without having to spend anymore time waiting for things.
To every one else out there waiting hope you don't have to long to wait ill be thinking about you all LOL

Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - waiting impatiently
Good luck Yorkshirelass. If all goes to plan I should be collecting my own CZC1 about an hour before that! It has been suddenly pulled from the woodwork this week. I have a registration and a picture so it should all be sorted if they can do the final dealer checks. Once I have my hands on it I will explain what happened to see if it helps anyone else still waiting.
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - yorkshirelass
good luck i will be keeping my fingers crossed for you, can't wait to hear how you managed to get it.
i might not get back on site tomorrow evening but i will be back soon.
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - waiting impatiently
GOT IT!!!!

I'm in love it now has magnetic daisys down the side (it's a girl thing chaps).

Ok now I have my car let me tell you how I got it:
Last week I asked customer service and my car dealer if they knew where my car was and when it was arriving. After saying no, I asked if I could have my deposit back and when I was asking with a view to buying a different car it was fine.
I looked on the net and found the CZC1 and then asked Mitsubishi customer service to check how the car had got to the second hand car dealer and if it was all warrantied etc (they do this for people anyway).
From there it was discovered that a car dealer in Yorkshire ordered 5 cars to sell to this trader back in December and delivered in May even when we were all waiting!!

My dealer also admitted that a CZC1 had been allocated to another dealership (he had inherited the customers after the dealership went bust) and was being delivered even though she had ordered weeks after me (so Customer Service do not allocate in date order or fufil the promise that you are next on the list).
My dealer emailed Mitsubishi head (lance) and complained so my car was immediately found on a ship and allocated a 10 day delivery but they also decided to give me the one the dealer had on it's way. So I went from no car on Monday to it arriving at the dealers Tuesday night.

I genuinely think you should all try it - look for the used car on Autotrader - search Used Mitsubishi and then see if you can get them moving too if you threaten to buy that. Incidently I also got my finance deal redone at a lower interest rate to keep me buying the new car and to match the great finance the used dealer gave me.
(not much but still better).

I know it's a long post but have a go see if it kicks them into action too.
In the meantime I have a cancelled appointment so I'm off to the Prom in Blackpool with the roof down.

Good Luck
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - waiting impatiently
So Yorkshirelass how was it for you?
I drove Clitheroe to Blackpool this morning with the top down and home from Bradford with the top up last night - all great
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - Rick o Shea

Glad to hear others are getting their cars now, hope you have fun!

Finally picked up my silver czc2 today after 5 1/2 months, wow, it was definately worth the wait! Managed to put the roof down as the weather today in Scotland was lovely. My teenage daughter is besotted already!Lol As am i. I almost cancelled last month, but am very glad i hung on. For those of you waiting, hope it's not too long now.

It can't be too long now surely !!!!!!
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - greeny
Only 3 weeks til the new 58 plate.
I think we will be getting one of them!
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - yorkshirelass
Waiting impatiently,

Waiting impatently,
Got her last night left dealers 8pm with top down bit chilly but great, took the day off today to have a bit of fun, drove 120 miles all with the top down it is great there's a back wind shield you can put up and it really cuts down the draft.
I love the car and surprising so does hubby i had to fight to drive it myself.
iI thought i would regret canceling the czc but i don't the Tigra is very quiet and so comfy lovely bucket seats and lots of leg room. took the grandchildren out one at a time and they are saving up to buy one there are 10 and 13.
I'm really pleased you got sorted but just shows how unscrupulous some dealers can be.
well have fun LOL
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - AlanGowdy
I saw one of these yesterday. I don't know what it's like with the top lowered but, with it closed, it's unbelievably ugly when viewed from behind.

Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - AlanGowdy
.>> whats mr gowdy driving a pick up

Pickup trucks are SO last century! Sorry for daring to speak my mind but the cabrio Colt is hideous. Perhaps it is transformed from ugly duckling to beautiful swan when the top is lowered.

Incidentally, your response contains at least six grammatical errors that I can see. Not bad for a single short sentence.
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - waiting impatiently
Stop it now!
You are entitled to your opinion and I have to say that as an owner of a Colt CZC1 I do prefer the car with the top down to up. I can see why it does not win beauty contests with the top up. However, I love my car, I chose to buy it and I did not ask anyone else to like it.
Mr Gowdy - your opinions are fine with me, but the fuss has been about a major car manufacturer lying to customers and the information I have gained from this forum has helped me to combat that so please express your opinion but don't start bickering.
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - yorkshirelass
If you had kept up with this thread you would have realised i had canceled my colt order and bought a Vauxhall Tigra sports which i still think is a very sexy car.
As for being very SO LAST CENTURY i might be, But I'm a happy 60 year old female with a sexy convertible,
You must lead a very sad life to pick up on someones grammatical errors.
Well MrGowby while you check out all my errors I'm off in my sexy car for a bit of fun.

Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - Pugugly
Yes - back to the topic please. Fingers hovering over the "lock" button !! :-)
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - welshlad
looks wise even as an owner i had to get used to the roof up look but rather then it being ugly i always saw it as different, if you look at a majority of the smaller convertibles they all look very simular to each other the CZC has a new look.

as others have said they choose their cars they drive their cars and it really doesnt matter what anyone else thinks, personally i hate rolls royce cars but i dont care if someone else buys one its their money their choice.
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - Pugugly
I saw the first one of these in the metal (at a dealers) last week - I wouldn't call it ugly, different I suppose, I always rated some of the more controversial BMWs of late. The latest take on the seven series is a case in point, almost conservative now. Roomster will always be ugly though.
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - harveyeddee
Has anyone taken delivery of a czc3 yet?

I ordered one in black on 19th April and was told latest delivery end of July - I know funny huh!

The news this morning from the dealer is that czc3's are entering the UK but they are all being converted back to 1 and 2's to fill the orders for those first. Can anyone confirm or negate this?

Apparently all the orders until the end of March are now filled - so it may not be too long to wait! Maybe september!

Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - greeny
I have just got off of the phone to Customer Service. They told me that letters have been sent out to people waiting. I have yet to recieve one! Also, they have completed to mid Marchs orders.
Seems like we are still in for a long wait!
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - Rick o Shea
I know what mr gawdy is referring to when he says the car has a less than flattering angle with the top up, but also there are many things which look ugly when viewed from behind...
We have found, the same people that make that comment in the flesh, usually change it to "it is stunning, with it down" and in fact some have also gone on to enquire about ordering one thereafter. (irrelevant if they are then put off by the long delays).

This car is in major demand, so it must be attractive to a large percentage of the buyers in this market!

I hope the grammar int bad it wernt my cleverest thing at skool....
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - harveyeddee
The Mitsubishi website has just pulled the turbo version of the czc.
Seems a little strange!
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - also waiting impatiently
new from 2 different dealers today - turbo model czc3? withdrawn permanently - will be replaced by new model 2009? wonder if it'll take as long to get one of those!!!! hope you are all enjoying your new cars - i'm still waiting!!!!!
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - AlanGowdy
... by the way I drove a Colt (the hatchback) for a couple of days last year. I found it very likeable and it seemed very good value for money. The only thing that I reckoned would have annoyed me in the long term (if I owned one) was the curious plastic concentric concertina thing round the gearstick base which seemed custom-made to catch dirt and dust and be difficult to clean. Not a lot to complain about then. Back to the CZC:

Other manufacturers make metal folding hardtops with varying degrees of aesthetic success. I just feel that Mitsubishi's designers should have tried harder. It's very ugly from the back and did not need to be (yes - with the top UP). Mind you, I keep putting on weight and am probably not too attractive at the rear either.
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - Pugugly
I'm glad I didn't take people's views to heart for the two Bangle 5 Series I owned. My Roomster has taken ugliness to a new level - its car and I cope with it.
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - AlanGowdy
If you had kept up with this thread you would have realised i had canceled
my colt order and bought a Vauxhall Tigra sports which i still think is a
very sexy car.

snipquote!

That's better - the Tigra looks pretty good with top up or down (and surely appearance is one of the prime reasons why anyone would want to buy a convertible in the first place).

I'll not embarrass you by itemising the poor grammar in your latest reply to me. Stay happy.

Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - Alby Back
Funny things cars. At one level they are just a transport convenience. At another they can be works of art.

I don't happen to like the styling of the Colt but I can understand the attraction of the concept. An affordable slice of modern open air motoring. Nothing to criticise there. It may appear attractive to some but less so to others. Judging by the wave of enthusiasm shown on this thread, clearly it appeals to many.

I think the best cars in my life have had something about them which made me feel good when I drove them. Not always a function of price or perceived desirability. A burbling engine note, a comfy seat, a pleasing dash, or indeed the view down a long bonnet. The way you could kick the tail out. The feel of the gearchange, the bite of the clutch. Simple things like this make the difference between a feeling of transport and participating in the drive. I suspect the motivation to buy one of these Colts is much more heart than head led and as such these cars stand much more chance of bringing pleasure to their owners than a more practical alternative.

Good luck to you guys and girls. You have at least chosen to buy something with a little character. Even if grumpy old geezers like me don't like 'em !

AG,

Don't open a clause in brackets with 'and' - it's superfluous.

Also what is 'want to' doing in the phrase '...would want to buy a convertible...' - once again the two words are superfluous.

For someone who wants to show off their grammar, your prose is ropey.

And that's just two sentences.

I won't embarrass you further....

Hi everyone
I've had my czc since July now (after a long, long wait) and am loving it, top up or down !
I do think it is the strangest looking little car, I call it a Push me Pull you, but the way I would describe it is CUTE
I think it looks cute from every angle
I can understand people thinking it is ugly, it's one of those cars that you either love or hate but at the end of the day beauty is in the eye of the beholder !

To you guys still waiting, hang in there, I hope you get yours soon
Perhaps we'll have a late summer and you will still be able to go topless this year, the way the weather is at the moment I know I haven't been able to all that much, there's always the fear that the heavens will open when you're stuck in a traffic jam ! (can you imagine the smirks on everyone's faces !!!!)
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - Rick o Shea
Crystal, don't be afraid to get your top down!

if you are in traffic, just leave a small gap in front of you, and if you need to put the top up, pull the switch, and just nose slightly further forward so it leaves clearance at the rear for the boot to hinge...

I have done it a few times, and no one seems to mind, when the whole operation takes 22 seconds, if you look ahead, you may only be caught by five seconds or so if you are unlucky and even less if you bring the windows down first.

I find there is a tinge of jealousy rather than a smirk!

Hi folks,

Well I got the phone call today to say my car has arrived in the UK, yippee!!

I also have the registration number and have decided to wait until 1st September to get my car on a 58 plate. I have waited for so long another few days won't make that much difference.

I hope that all of you still waiting get your phone call soon.

Hi - I have been watching these threads with increasingly utter astonishment and laughter - I loved the cabbages /Tesco comment and the Titanic remarks.

I ordered my Colt CZC at the end of March and have had all the similar bad customer care experiences.

Today, the dealer has rung to say mine is in the country and will be availabel to me in about a week.

When I asked him if it would have the new 58 plate - he said no - has anybody had any experience of actually getting a 58 plate please? I am still debating as to whether to cancel. Does anybody know what effect it has on the price of the resale of a car - ie having an 08 plate on a car that you receive mid-August?

Thanks
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - thegreatnorm
Hi there,

I also ordered my car in March and was given the choice to get the car next week or to wait for the new registration. The salesman I deal with advised me to wait to get it on a 58 plate, and they are alo honouring my part exchange from March.

Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - blueskies
Hi - whereabouts in the country are you please and is your dealer a Mitsubishi franchise? My dealer, in the south west, when I asked him about the 58 plate said that they couldn't do that, but I could have my deposit back!

Thanks

dont get too excited he only said it was in the country he didnt say which country and believe me when it comes to dealing with mitsibushi its the little thing they catch you out on :-)
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - babydoll
Blueskies,

My dealer has been incredibly good about the 58 plate infact it was his suggestion, he told me the price is the one we were quoted and if i was happy to wait till the 1st september he would be more than happy to reg it as 58, I think they are being very unfair, ring and suggest you are unable to pick the car up till the 1st septemebr therefore want a 58 plate.
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - Avant
"Does anybody know what effect it has on the price of the resale of a car - ie having an 08 plate on a car that you receive mid-August?"

Not much, I think. I had this last year: my Golf V estate was delivered on 22 August and the dealer, probably anxious to meet their August quota wouldn't have given me as good a deal if I waited till September.

As the Golf estate was only announced on 10 August I have a rare car! - one of very few 07-reg Golf estates in existence..... No, it's not really a mark of distinction is it!

Hi all. I hope you are all enjoying your beautiful cars in this lovely sunshine!! (It is gorgeous in the south east)
I am still awaiting my phone call with the news of my car :-(
I must be high on the list now surely!!
I am sure I am the only one on this forum still waiting-yes I am feeling a bit sorry for myself!

Hi Greeny

I am too in the south East, and got a phone call this morning, I ordered mine (blue with cruise control (not that i intend to go too fast I want everyone to see it) the first week of April) Mine is in the country due for delivery on the 22nd of August to my showroom, and I have arranged to collect it 1st September 08.30am no point having a 08 plate for 1 week, I've waited this long so another week is not going to make much difference! So all is not lost in the south East thankfully, here's hoping you get your very very soon.
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - Alby Back
Why on earth does anyone care what number is on the plate ? It's not like you can see it from behind the wheel. It's a cabrio, surely you want it ASAP ? It'll be halloween soon.

Hi All

Sorry to disappoint you all but my dealer spoke to Mitsubishi yesterday to be told they are still working on the Mar list and over 100+ are still waiting. So if you have ordered a CZC3 you are going to have a long way. I was told Sept at the end of July so I doubt if it will arrive by then.

Any way I've had enough and have ordered a Micra Cabriooooooo (Honest John's advice). I sent him an email thinking he might know why we are waiting so long. Being Honest and all that!

Any way I'm off to my dealer tomorrow to get my deposit back. I take delivery of my Micra C+C on 1 Sept. So I'll say goodbye to my CZC3 and hope the next one on the list gets theirs early. Its a Silver one by the way.

I decided to order a Red one so everyone can see me coming.

Hope Yorkshirelass is still with us in her Tigra and the Peogeot (wrong spelling) person and the Mini person (can't remember their code names). I'll keep in touch.
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - bimmer-driver
I'm still here. Ordered my CZC on March 18th. Guess I'd still be waiting if I hadn't cancelled and bought my MINI! Atleast I've had summer in my MINI, I feel for all the people still waiting for Colts cos it seems summers over now.

i have now had my car just over 2 weeks an orange czc2. i waited 5 months for it as i ordered it back on 6th march and recieved it 31st july. i have to say it was well worth the wait and the car is driving excellent
Owners' experiences thread Vol 7. - hampshiregrandma
Yesterday my husband collected my new silver CZC2 from the dealer for me as I was too nervous to drive it through busy roads but it had arrived at last! When he turned up at the house with the roof down I remembered why I wanted this car and was willing to wait so long. I order the car on 3rd March so it has taken FIVE AND HALF MONTHS. Not having driven since my accident back in January I was exremely nervous to get behind the wheel again but it was a lovely sunny day which made it a lot easier to put the roof down and go out for my first drive...... The car was extremely smooth to drive and the vision was good with the roof down and up. My four year old granddaughter loved it and we could not get her out of the car, she tried all four seats before anyone had a chance to get in it! I must say that I am extremely delighted with the car, but had I known it was going to be so long when I ordered it I probably would have gone for the Tigra. Heard nothing form customer services not even an apology although the dealer did apologise for the five and half months delay!!!! Hope all of you still waiting get your cars soon and you do not have to wait as long as I have - good luck. Hampshiregrandma

I ordered my CZC2 the first week of April with a delivery date of the middle of June. I'm sure that no one is surprised after reading this site that I didn't get my car! We've done all the usual things that others on this site have done-contacted the dealer and mitsubishi directly also to no avail. So decided to really step up the fight and we have contacted BBC Watchdog who are due to begin making a new series in October. I suggest that all of you who are still waiting (and those of you who are still cheesed off with the way you were treated) do the same. It can't make things any worse can it?!

On a more positive note, I've cancelled my order with the local dealer as they told me that I wouldn't be getting my car until, at the earliest, the first week of November which is stupid. Instead we've contacted other dealers and come up trumps. My new black CZC2 is going to be delivered next friday.

Good luck everyone!
Watchdog - greeny
Hi!
Did the new dealer give an explanation as to how he can get hold of one so quickly?
Watchdog - jojo2
nope! Just said that he had one in stock. I asked if I could have a 58 plate but he refused saying that he would only register it as an 08. But nevermind! Might be worth others doing the same?
Watchdog - greeny
Perhaps someone had cancelled their order. Great news that you are getting yours. Thank you very much for the advice.
I honestly do not think that the plate makes a difference. The car would be the same age irrespective of when it is registered.
Let me know what its like and what you think of it. :-)
Watchdog - yorky
Hi Everyone
Not much movement on here these days.
Anyone taken delivery recently.
I saw a silver one today at Bourne Market, first time I've actually seen one out and about being driven. Silver was the colour I ordered. Strange it didnt seem to look as good as I remember. Any way I got my deposit back so no looking back.

Can't wait for 1 Sept when I take delivery of my Micra C+C in Red. Hope it looks better than the Colt. May be I might just have the top down before the weather breaks.

Watchdog - Rick o Shea
Hi Yorky, without re-running the 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' argument, I have to say personally, that the Micra convertable, will probably have the edge on the CZC in build quality, but better looking (in my humble opinion) it certainly is not!

It looks like a cross between a 1960's invalid carriage, and an original VW Beetle.. YUK!
Watchdog - yorky
Hi Rick
Sob sob. I'm upset - never mind! Cabrio - They are all the same with the top down.
By the way I saw Abbie - nice girl. Shame I couldnt do business with Adam and Abbie. Not their fault though. Got to blame Mitsubishi on this occasion.

Doesnt sound like anyones got theirs yet.

Happy motoring.
Watchdog - Rick o Shea
Hi Yorky, yes Abbie is a real darlin, Adam and Paul were off on holiday when our CZC arrived, and bless her, she handed the car over etc.

She done a fantastic job, and is a lovely person too.

I will have to say that I live about 35 miles away from the Bury Mitsi dealer, and have 2 other mitsi dealers closer. But it has definately paid off going there with the proffesionalism they have shown.

ours only has a few days left being the current (08) reg, but we consider ourselves so luck to have had the use out of it this summer.

There is still plenty of 'top down' weather left for all you other future czc ers
as it only takes secons to 'convert', so it gets converted for the shortest of journeys.

A real pleasure.

has everyone deserted this site or has everyone but me got their cars!!!!! still havn't seen one on the road but they must be out there. any news of ships (not little green men in space ships) from italy??? can get nothing out of customer service
watchdog - greeny
Im still here and still waiting. Don't worry, you are not the only one.
I have had no joy with Cust Services either. Have you tried the dealer as C.S say that they will know about the arrivals more than them. When I spoke to C.S they told me that the factory had been on a 2 week shut down. They reopened on Monday.
My dealer knows nothing! 20 weeks and still waiting. i feel very let down! Saw a silver one yesterday which is what I am waiting for, it was lovely!
watchdog - harveyeddee
20 weeks for me too!
I spoke to my dealer yesterday to be told that they had absolutely no clue, that all their Mitsubishi area manager was saying that all quarter 1 had definately been filled.
Apparently Mitsubishi have back tracked on most dates / promises they told the dealers when getting them to sell their cars and take peoples money.
I was told that I may have to wait as much as Oct/Nov. The dealers seem to have given up even asking questions as they get less facts than we do!
Thank goodness for this site without this none of use would have a clue as to what was going on.
My dealer seemed embaraqssed when I mentioned this site and the amount of bad press Mitsubishi were getting.
If their car wasn't such a good deal I would have told them to stick it, still might have to if my car isn't here by end Sept as my MOT is due on my existing car.
If I have to cancel I will never consider doing any business with this awful company again!
Watchdog would be a brilliant idea, it might not help us all get our cars, but it might send a message to Mitsubishi that they cannot treat people this way!
Good luck to all of you!

If the first 1/4 had been filled, then you and I would be getting our cars very soon as we were within the first few days of April.
I am under the impression from the conversation I had yesterday with the Dealer that I will be lucky to get mine before November. Real shame but it is the car that I want and I am prepared to wait for it. I feel that if I went for something else I would always regret not getting the CZC.
My MOT is also due end of Sept. I just hope it passes so that I do not have to fork out money on my existing car.
Mitsubishi have told me that they have posted a statement on this site. I cannot find it but then again, I am not exactly the best with PCs!! Anyone seen it?

volumn 3 in april.
mitsubishi post - Rick o Shea
Greeny, we (welshlad, and some others who now do not visit this site) ordered our CZC not too earlier than you, (March) and got our cars nearly for the first of the 08 Reg.

We love our cars, but have found that your choice of dealer makes all the diference, to the service you get and the time you have to wait.

In my opinion, the standard of the Mitsi dealers is the most inconsistant factor here.

They need to get rid of the 2 year franchise rubbish dealers and set some higher standards.

We picked a mitisi dealer which also was a Honda dealer on the same premises. We found the standard of everything was much better than other Mitsi dealers who were just Mitsi.

My advice, would be to find a better dealer, and get your car elsewhere, like others on this site. The cars are still selling out there, and a bit of phoning, and maybe a bit of a drive will bag you one within a week.

It is much better than giving up on the CZC, in my opinion it is still the best coupe' cabriolet out there, has rear seats, and the best value for money.

Good Luck!

i was helping to run an emergency services open day today i had the car parked near to my post with the roof down loads of people were having a good look at it and a few even wanted to know if it was a raffle prize and where could they get tickets

Hi welshlad,i owe you one so hear it is.
Yes the booby prize, sorry couldn t resist.
mitsubishi post - thegreatnorm
Hi to all,

I pick my CZC2 up tomorrow night after ordering it at the end of March. I hope the weather holds out so I can drive home with the top down. I'm sure it will be worth the wait by the number of you out there who have posted on this thread.

In the months I have been waiting I have only seen one on the road, but what should I see yesterday while out shopping but a blue turbo CZC albeit on an 06 plate.

I hope you all still waiting hear news about your order soon.
mitsubishi post - yorky
Hi Rick
I ordered my CZC3 from the same dealer as you. My order was place on 9 May and I'm still waiting. The CZC3 came out on 1 May. They are a good dealer but they just can't get the cars. Certainly not a 3 version. I was told end of July and then Sept and then told they had no idea. That's when I decided to go for a Micra C+C also with seats in the back. A bit more expensive but at least with 0% finance.
