I can also inform the group that the friend I mentioned way back in Vol 2 of this epic has now taken delivery!
|
Dear all,
Just to provide you all with the latest news that I have regarding deliveries. My wife ordered a czc2 way back in early Feb and we have since been given a delivery date that proved completely useless. I complained to Mitsibushi UK and they informed me to contact the dealer who would provide me with an update, however the flaw is that Mitsibushi UK are failing to give the dealers a real update so no news from the dealer. So I again complained to Mitsibushi UK and they have informed me that 'we have been experiencing extremely high demand for this vehicle and this has led to limited stock availability. Please be assured that we are working hard to resolve this problem....' I have again written and expressed my disgust at such a 'limp' reply and requested more definitive info regarding anticipated build and delivery dates.
Common sense says that you build up stocks before knocking 25% off prices or you end up with a lot of very disatisfied potential customers......I wonder if Misubishi have learned their lesson here?? Surprised the press have not got hold of this yet.
So it looks like we are all destined for quite a wait as the current 'drip-feed' of models coming to the UK is going take some time to fulfill outstanding orders.
|
i think its time for a run down of who has their cars and who's waiting post the date you ordered and the date you recieved or state if your still waiting (i've lost track of who has and hasnt got their cars this will probably give people waiting an idea of where they are in the que)
Jan 20th - recieved

What's the weather like in N Wales Welshlad ? I'll be up there tomorrow (hopefully), Denbigh area and mucking about in Snowdonia thereafter. Roomie going to a Skoda dealer up there, 30% cheaper to service than down saarf.
|
been lovely today and the same is promised for tommorrow, if you see a little orange flash pass you at any point tommorrow dont forget to wave
|
|
I ordered a blue czc on the 17th of march and i was told it would be here at the end of april, that was a month ago and i`ve not heard a single word from mitsubishi BRISTOL.I will give them untill the end of april ring them up if no joy think about a new tigra.
|
I ordered our car on 22nd Feb, and was told first week in April. i accepted this at the time, and they were a few days late. Took delivery last week. Have to say its annoying waiting to get your car once you have made your mind up, but my dealer looked it up on the computer before i ordered, and it arrived (more or less) when he said it would.
All i can say, is, there is no excuse if you are told how long its going to be, its not worth ordering it and hoping it will come early because it definately won't.
Get the dealer to write down (as i did) the latest date for delivery when you pay your deposit as a condition. Then if they don't deliver you can have compensation or your money back.
When mine was a few days late, they gave me a 08 turbo diesel colt, so i can't complain about my case.
|
welsh, i tried to do that at myphotoalbum.com/ and loaded the pics on there, but it wants me to pay $20 so i can leave a link like you did, is that what you meant, or is there a free way?
|
Thanks Nick try this and let me know if it works please.

i just copy and paste the link its never cost me a penny

It will be worth the wait though, everyone who has took delivery of the car loves it!
And we do too, we will keep our fingers crossed for you.

Dear all,
You may recall that I reported the other day that my wifes had orderd a czc2 early Feb and still no news. Mitsibushi uk have now admitted to me that they have no control over the volume of czc's coming into the uk at the moment and they also do not control the distribution thereafter. They say that the new car administrator based at Portbury docks decides how the new arrivals are distributed around the country, but whilst this should be on a 'first come first served' basis it cannot be guaranteed. They have admitted to me that they are swamped with orders and whilst they are trying to improve stocks, they cannot even begin to give any indication as to how soon current orders will be fulfilled. So it really does appear to be a lottery as to who gets what and how quickly. Good luck everyone - but don't hold your breath whilst you are waiting.
|
Me again. For all those waiting for news etc, it may be worthwhile emailing Mitsibushi-uk and complaining direct to them - you may only get the same news as I did but this might at least give them an en-mass 'kick up the back-side' regarding the current delays and drive them a bit harder to do something. The e-mail address is CustomerRelations2@mitsubishi-cars.co.uk
The joke is that they actually blame the delays on the 25% discount to the retail price - but they fail to grasp that any normal manufacturer/retailer would normally build up their stock before carrying out such a massive promotion.....when speaking to them they seemed to infer that it was our fault (the customers) for taking up the offer!
|
Hi all! Have been reading all this with intrest. I ordered my Czc middle of March, and my dealer told me the end of April, but by the sounds of it I will be lucky! To be fair my dealer has been quite honest and hasn't tried to fob me off. He is dropping off a car for me to use on Friday until it arrives, but apparently it is a part ex he is getting in, so dread to think what it might be. I'm not a snob honest! I think I will give him until early May and then start looking elsewhere.
|
anybody heard any news on their cars friday seems to be the day most people find out something about deliveries
|
Hi All!
I've just been on the phone to the dealer again, asking for some extras as a few weeks ago they promised they would make it up me so i went in for the kill today. I asked for mud flaps, a windbreaker and a lead fitted to play my ipod ( i didn't think this was such a bad request after the great deal Rick o sea got). Anyhow the manager (who is dealing with it all now) did not seem too impressed and started saying they would not really make any profit if they added anything else but would sort something out.
I have nothing to lose by asking but I really think mitsubishi need to work on thier customer service in all aspects. I emailed the customer service (thanks for the address paul2) askingfor some answers but pretty much got a useless reply again blaming the demand for this car and saying they really didn't expect it be so popular, pretty lame response but i think that was expected (i just wanted to annoy them really!! lol).
Welsh, the dealer said my car is (really) in the country and due to be delivered on monday or tuesday next week (everything crossed!). Starting to get excited now, and the weather is meant to get warmer next week, can't wait!!!
|
Anyhow the manager (who is dealing with it all now) did not seem too impressed and started saying they would not really make any profit if they added anything else but would sort something out.
i would have turned round and asked him ' how much profit are you going to make if i cancel and bad mouth you all round town'
|
had parking sensors fitted today because i just cant seem to get to grips with judging distances when reversing i dont know why (although i expect its just me being overcautious because its a new car). i decided on a system that has a licence plate holder with sensors on it rather then bumper sensors that way it can be stripped out when i change cars and put in the next one rather then paying £300 a time to get them fitted in the new car.
|
I was looking at the number plate parking sensors myself welsh, but didn't know what they would look like on the car, is there any chance of a photo on you photo site please?
Also how well does it work, do you get good coverage to the sides of the car?
I had to go back to the dealers yesterday, and had a chat with the owner, who wanted to see how i was getting on with the car.
I had a half an hour chat with him, and asked why we ordered our car feb22 and got 1st week in April, and others have not.
It was a long explanation, but the core of it was that he needed to prove to the area manager that he had a 'real' buyer' for the car, as there is a a lot of 'moody' orders where the dealer knows he can sell all he can get, and has put in imaginary customers to get the car to his door.
Luckilly we bought a personalised number plate from the dvla and we forwarded the document to them which they used to prove we were genuine.
Also the dealer had ordered in advance of the rush some czc's and ours was one of them.
I hope that helps some of you guys who are waiting for their cars, all i can say is that when you do get it, its fantastic and well worth the wait if you can hang on....
|

it seems to give coverage but really its only an aid to reversing because of the lack of visibillity out the back window you still need to use the mirrors to reverse into tight places but at least you know if there is anything behind you thats lower then the boot plus the system is adjustable so you can increase the sensitivity and the range, the guy that fitted mine has done an excellent job the control unit and the speaker are both completely out of sight as is the wiring. He has actually mounted the speaker under neath the cup holder between the two rear seats
overall it has made a good deal of difference to reversing ease.
i will take a photo today at some point and add it to the gallery on my photo site, but really all you see is a black border round the number plate with a sensor to each side
i suppose the biggest benifit to this system is that you can strip it out and then re-fit it into your next car and the price fitted is only £99 compared to the dealer wanting nearly £400

rick as promised there are a couple of photos of the sensors added to this album

Thanks welsh, it looks good, do you know what make it is?
My only problem at the mo is that ours has stainless number plate mounts, which we will have to remove, and they look quite nice!
We would like some parking sensors though so will check them out if you can find out, cheers
|
they come from halfords £99 fitted (by a subcontractor who will come to you to fit them) i cant tell you the name of the make cause i threw the box away but halfords only had two in stock these sort and the bumper mounted sensors

My car is coming 2moro!!!!! Soooooooo EXCITED!!!!

My car is coming 2moro!!!!! Soooooooo EXCITED!!!! Picking it up 2moro aft can't wait!!!! :-)
WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! about time
|
have you picked out a 'picking up the new car outfit' yet or am i just being incredible sexist!!!!!
|
rick the sensors i had fitted are 'META SR2' sensors
|
Can anybody give me any advice? I picked up my temporary loan car until my czc arrives, and I asked the guy at the dealership where I stood on insurance. He said that I was covered 'for a couple of days', after that I would have to sort out my own. I have called my insurance people to tell them, and they have said they don't cover loan cars! The loan car in question is a 2002 Nissan Primera, which was taken a part-ex at the garage. It is already costing me a fortune in petrol as I travel 25 miles each way to work. Any suggestions?
|
You need something in writing.
|
Thanks Welsh, hope it is worth the wait! i've still not seen a black one in the flesh but i'm stil excited all the same!!!
& yes I was actually thinking about what to wear (lol!), need to look good in my new black baby!!! ;0)
did you get dressed for your little orange number???!!
It's my first new car!!!! ............. can you tell i'm excited???
Foxylady, I have had a courtesy car for alomost 3 weeks and when i asked about the insurance they said they cover it and not to worry and by all rights it is their responibility to cover the car as it is their cock up.
Tell them you have a friend up north who had the same problem as you and the mitsubishi dealers covered the insurance. I think it is out of order they expect you to cover it, let me know how you get on........ Good luck!!
|
Thanks sporty chick, I am oop north too! My husband went into the dealership today and saw a brand new black and silver one being delivered, he said the black looked really good. Which is just as well as that's the colour I have chosen! I will keep you informed how I get on........
|
Must have good taste, us northerners!! Will let ya know what me cars like 2moro!!!
|
if a clean tshirt counts as getting dressed up then yeah i did
|
For a bloke it does...... Jus kidding!!! LOL!!!
|
Hey sporty chick
Good luck tomorrow. Hope it's fine and you can drive away topless!
we've had our CZC turbo for 3 weeks. Mrs says best cab we have ever owned.
We waited 9 days for our blue one, but it had 120 miles on the clock and had obviously been a dealer demonstrator but that didn't stop the dealer Court and Smith Worthing passing it off as new. Add in a very poor valet and if we lived nearer to them they would be doing it again...
Car is brillant. Great to drive, solid feel - the reviewers who complained about scuttle shake need to drive more convertibles. In our opinion the CZC is far better than the 307cc and the old Audi TT convertible. The Turbos exhaust note is mmmm.
Road noise is the only issue which we think needs improving...

Hey sporty chick Good luck tomorrow. Hope it's fine and you can drive away topless!
and with the roof down on the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh come on you knew that was coming

Ha ha ha ha!!! I do hope to drive away with "the roof down"!!! Thanks welsh and richardo!!
Weather is looking good, fine day for picking up a convertible!!
|
Great news Sporty!
The temp is meant to be getting better too so no better time to pick it up!
In terms of best heater position for tyhe 'colder' days, :-) we have adopted the ventilation direction 'knob' set with the dot at the bottom.
It tends to fill the car with a nice bubble of heat!
Worth remembering if you just must pose topless....
|
just got back from a day out had the top down for the whole time was fantastic the shine was shining the birds were singing life is good!!!!
|
How envious I am of your ability to do that!
Here I am waiting for an elusive orange CZC2 which was ordered on 4th March on a 4 week delivery - which I know now was totally unrealistic !
Since I started chasing delivery, the dealer has never phoned me - I have had to make all the calls.
Finally went to Dealer last Thursday, who told me the car was at the docks and was getting the seats put in (apparently happens in this country), and would be up by last Saturday or Monday. Since then heard nothing.
Phoned today, and was told I was given wrong information. It is not here, they don't know when it will be here.....
Is it reaally worth the wait or should I cancel ....
Thats 7 weeks. How long have others waited?
|
i ordered mine the last week of jan and picked it up the first week in april.......personally i would say its worth the wait
|
You'll never believe what happened i was going though bangor this afternoon and ended up behind a silver CZC there we were both with the roof down radios up(well mine was way up so i couldnt even hear theirs) cruising along in our own little CZC convoy
luckily for thwe driver she had a silver one otherwise i would have had to run her off the road to stop her stealing my orange thunder LOL

Hello, just an update on the insurance. Called the dealer today and he has sorted out the insurance for me. Thanks for the advice sporty chick. Glad you managed to get the roof down How jealous am I! Still no sign of mine, and I ordered beginning of March. Ho hum....
|
My car is awsome!!! Picked it up this aft and fell in love instantly! It was lovely and clean and shiny and pretty much perfect. Only 8 miles on the clock and they put a full tank of petrol in and got some rather dodgy looking wine! did anyone else get wine and is it drinkable???
Anyway have had the roof down most of the day, was bit chilly but loved every minute of it and your all right it does turn heads!!
All of my neightbours (who generally dont talk much) have been to have a look and all said how nice it is (was the talk of the street, hehe!!)
I have added photo's to show you, hope it works i've never used this photo thing before!

Ordered my czc March 11th told it would be ready on my return from my holiday! Got back Monday 21st of April, went into the dealer to pick up car mmmmmmm no car !!! Little orange number ! Missing!!!! Anybody seen it ! You then start to look for information from dealer and manufacture the word is ZIPPO! but ........ might know more tomorrow I will keep you posted ! i dont care if the roof leaks my other car is a tvr its standard !
|
wifey ordered a black czc2 Easter weekend promised before the road tax runs out on the cooper (End of April) but I called in the other day to be shown a fax from Mitsubishi
1, Don't take any more orders
2, Don't worry if customer cancells there's plenty more mugs waiting in line
3, the customers trade in will have to be re-valued (Even though we've signed a contract and parted with a cash deposit!!!!!!!!!!!!)
They dont know if there's a ship on the way, whats on the ship colour or model. The local (Middlesbrough) garage have sold thier quota(28) for the year... By the way theres a report on a road test of a "new model" being imminant hence the factory aren't making them anymore???? could answer a few questions like, why the price has dropped £3000????????
Any road up the car still looks as if it doesn't know which way is frontwardsish abit
|
Hi Branco
noticed your comment on middlesbrough garage, i ordered my black czc2 on march30
carnt get any sensible answer when i phone as to delivery, they dont even phone back when they say they will.feel like throwing in the towel hope it is worth waiting for i also payed deposit and got a price for p-ex they have said they will honor that
|
Thanks Welsh, def worth the wait!
I tried to find the switch for the back windscreen wiper this morn (after much confusion) finaly realised there isn't a back screen wiper!! That annoyed me as i'm an obsessive when it comes to clean windows and rain being on them but then i guess it makes sense when the roof folds away!
Does anyone know if there is a way to get rid of the water on the back window? (is that sad?)
The car is not as nippy as the cz2 but it sure makes up for it looks and personality, so I really dont care and I like going slower in this car (people get a better look, how considerate am I!!)
& I know what ya mean about the road noise but I think they did it that way so people take notice, He he!
For the people stil waiting, is def worth the wait and dont hold your breath when waiting for them to call, they never, ever do! Mitsubishi may make great cars but they stil have not got to grips with how customer service works!!
But the car is FAB!!!! :O)
|
im the same with windows i keep a chamios leather in the boot to wipe the windows down before setting off and i also clean them every other day with tesco's glass cleaner trigger spray i find it help the water bead and run off.
i just cleaned the car at the tesco car wash (the jet wash i dont like the idea of those big spinning strip things in the normal car wash coming into contact with my nice new car).
my dad thinks i have developed an OCD for car washing but is it so bad to take pride in something i wash mine twice a week the jet wash during the week and a handwash at weekends. I find that welsh rain is very dirty for some reason plus i have no choice but to park really close to alot of ivy and i have been finding sap on the car everyday so id rather wash and get laughed at then to have the paintwork on a neat looking car get damaged and spoiled quickly
|
ihave to say with regards to the windscreen wipers they aint half bad........they seem to clear a majority of the glass rather then on my old car where you soon ended up looking though a small clean area while the outside of the winscreen just collected dirt
|
What you need is Rain X to apply to your rear or all of your windows ! Its a pollimer type product that makes the glass smoother and last for weeks any water then runs off so you always have sparkly windows, you can even use it on your windscreen and your wing mirrors and light lenses so they dont get so dirty! where do u get it ?any good car accessories shop, read the instructions
Now as for my missing orange czc, the dealer has offered me my deposit back and loan of a car till I buy a new car ! Or until my new czc arrives ! he did say it could take a while mmmmmmmm ho hum ! So Im sticking to getting my czc thats that ! He did say some had arrived at Portbury dock, but they are all blue ! not orange ! So have I been Tango'd !!!! not yet, I hope im not going to end up with an orange cream yuck !
but I WANT MY CAR !!!!!!!!!
p.s. but it is a confirmed order and thats official !
|
Great to hear that you finally got your car Sporty Chick - the pics look great.
You may all recall that my wife ordered a czc2 in black back on Feb 2nd and after no news I complained to Mitsubishi UK. They finally agreed to contact the new car administrator at Portbury docks last week and within the hour I received contact from our dealer to say theat the car should be arriving with them on Friday 25th April. So fingers crossed for tomorrow. Mind you, after almost 3 months of waiting we will believe it when we see it!
|
Thanks paul2, was def worth the wait. I hope yours turns up 2moro, got my fingers crossed for you!
I cleaned mine 2day (after all the dirty rain!), really enjoyed making it shine, I know they say black shows all the muck but it looks amaziing when its cleaned up and when welsh said his dad thinks he's a bit OCD well he isn't cos all you want to do is clean your car and keep it looking as special as it is!
I really cant leave the car alone, I have done 160 miles in 2 days cos all I want to do is drive it, and at every oppertunity that roof is down!!! Haha I'm loving it!!!
|
revenge is sweet.......my mum made my dad clean his car today because it looked too dirty when mine is parked next to it LOL
|
Nice one welsh! hehe!!!
Just wondered if anyone knows how you can connect an ipod or mp3 to the stereo?
The dealer told me they had ordered a lead to connect it when I originaly ordered the car. However when i picked the car up and asked about the lead he said he didn't have a clue (excellent mitsubishi service as usual!).
So I really dont have a clue if you can or not, does anyone know?
|
you need a little adapter that connects to the ipod and then transmits though the car sterio most electrical shops sell them pop into halfords or somewhere like that they will show you what you need or check out they have a unit that fits into the cup holder
tinyurl.com/5zohuz
they have a unit that fits into the cup holder
To make a link that fits into the post please use the TinyURL link at the top of the page

|
Pleased to report that the dealer phoned on Friday to confirm that my wife's CZC2 in black arrived on a transporter at 10.00am. She is picking it up on Wednesday....at last! That's just about 3 months from the original order date. But just to remind those who have been waiting a long time - complain to Mitsubishi UK via e-mail and phone and insist that they contact the car administrator at Portbury docks to sort out your vehicle.
|
Hi there, took my baby (ok new car!) for its first motorway trip this weekend. I have gone from 4 - 600 miles in 6 days!!! (everybody seems to want you when you have a convertible and the sun comes out!!). I have to say I am all motored out but have loved every minute!
Have been trying to figure out the MPG and seems the average on a good run is 40MPG, does seem to guzzle it on a motorway doing 80MPH (no more...honest!) and runs its best at around 60mph on a flat road getting around 50 - 60 MPG.
Stil not sure what I get from a full tank as keep topping it up but dont think it will give me anymore than 400 at a push.
Only problem I have is the brakes squeek alot when i'm stopping, is this normal with a new car?
Thanks for the link for the cup ipod thing welsh, think I will be getting one!
Edited by Dynamic Dave on 28/04/2008 at 13:29
|
the squeaking brakes is quite normal with new brake shoes they just need running in a bit (think about wearing in a new pair of shoes) but if it persistsmore then a couple of weeks have it checked out they may need a slight adjustment.
your MPG and miles per tank seem about right thats what ive been getting but the MPG when your in traffic moving slow are quite impressiveespecially for a 1.5 engine
|
the new model they are bringing out is a czc3 which comes with leather seats ipod connection plus other stuff and cost an extra 1300 pounds and the dealer said that if i change my czc2 for one of these it would come quickly ha ha ha. Still no sign of my car so i sent an email to mitsubishi still waiting for a reply .
|
I paid another visit to the dealer today - ( it's the best way as they never phone me!). He showed me the Memo from Mitsubishi about not knowing what is arriving or when. He did let me speak to the coorinator at portbury dock, who said there was a boat coming in next Monday, but I am not holding my breath!
BTW can someone just clarify which alloys come with the CZC2 as standard? The brochure shows the 7 spoke , but all the nice photies show the 16 spoke. Are Weshlads wheels standard?
|
Yes Dunskeig, the standard 08 wheels are the multispoke alloys that are on welshlads car, unless you buy the czc1 in which case they are steel wheels with trim covers.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder though, and we preferred the seven spokes, and our dealer was able to obtain a set for us, without additional charge.
Either way the car is pretty whatever wheel you go for!
(have posted a link of our car to compare in the posts above).
|
i think the 16 spoke wheels are standard on the turbo model as you pointed out mine are the standard on the 08 CZC2
|
Thanks for that.
Interestingly, I got a call from the dealer at 6pm last night, saying that the girl I had spoken to at Portbury at lunchtime yesterday (see post above), had phoned him and told him that my car was on the boat arriving next Tuesday, and I should have it by the end of next week.
I thought they didn't know what was on the boast until it arrived....
It looks like the decsioins on who gets what when is definately made there.
I will still believe it when I see it!
|
seems we were all told they didnt know what was on the boat till it arrives maybe this is just yet another example of the curious mitsibushi sales style.
i think that they should re-evaluate their whole approach as these days word of mouth is no longer a local issue as this thread has clearly shown
|
Dear All,
We have noticed the understandable concern caused by the supply issues we have had with the Colt CZC, and would like to assure our customers that we are doing everything possible to clarify and rectify the situation as soon as possible.
The sales success of the new Colt CZC Coupe Cabriolet has exceeded all expectations. Total deliveries to customers in the first four months of 2008 are 950 units, an increase of 900% over the same period last year. However, total customer orders were 1,550 units, which means that a number of you are still waiting your vehicles.
We have been been working extensively with our colleagues in Europe to get extra units built and delivered as quickly as possible. Indeed, the UK has managed to secure 100% of all European production for the rest of 2008 - this is about 3,000 units in the balance of the year.
We recognise that the high demand has caused delays with a number of your vehicles - and we deeply regret this inconvenience.
We are doing everything we can to get accurate delivery information to our dealers and our customers.
We have also allocated the next four months production to dealers and requested that they take orders based only on the supply they have been allocated. At the moment, however, we are unable to give precise delivery dates of that production.
Please rest assured that we are working hard to get that information, and as soon as we do we will pass it on to our dealers.
Kind regards,
Mitsubishi Head Office
|
Dear mitsubishi, could you please let everybody know who ordered a car where it is now, at least it would a little ray of hope. Are you offering compensation to all the people who in good faith have been waiting for there cars.
King regards,
An unhappy customer
|
I've e-mailed HJ to see if he can persuade someone from Colt to offer an explanation.
|
Dear Mitsubishi,
I ordered one in March. Your own customer services was appaling, as was your dealers, with each contradicting each other about delivery times etc etc. Therefore you lost a sale as I cancelled, and wouldn't touch another Mitsubishi with a bargepole as it seems like you couldn't organize a knees-up in a brewery.

Dear all,
Extremely pleased to inform you that my wife's czc2 was delivered yesterday as promised - virtually 3 months from the original date of order. The car is a real beauty, but unfortunately due to yesterdays inclement weather we were not able to test the roof out....seats tend to get a little damp in the pouring rain. Mitsubishi are in no doubt struggling to supply against orders - but the idiots should have seen that one coming...if you discount a great product by 25% you must surely expect a massive reaction. Stocks should have been built up prior to the promotion. But all I would say to any of you waiting for your vehicle - be patient, it is well worth the wait and lets face it, where else are you going to get a drop roof car so well specified for circa' £10.5k. We are off to Devon for the bank holiday week-end and will give the little espresso black beauty a good test out - hopefully with the top down (weather permitting).

Really pleased you got your car paul2, def woth the wait. I love my little espresso too!
Hope the weather holds for you, is meant to be warm and sunny (fingers crossed!).
Has anyone noticed a little black circle just infront of the drivers side wing mirror?
I washed mine today, and noticed this after it was clean. My partner said it has come from the insideof the cars engine and looks like one of the bolts has got too hot and come through the paint. This is worrying me and wondered if this has happened to anyone else?
I will be taking it up with mitsubishi but hoping it is nothing too serious, but does seem strange a circle has inprinted itself on my car from nowhere (aliens?!!) :-(

just got back from my tai qong class had the roof down there and back queen blaring on the cd player life just dont get any better

You noticed a black circle on a black car, Sportychick? You cdertainly washed it thoroughly....
Maybe check it immediately after a long run and see if the bodywork is very hot and perhaps where it's coming from.
|
LOL! I realised i'd put that after i posted it! I meant there is a circle on the black paint (doh!)
I thought that could be the case as i did quite a long run at the weekend, but does worry me if that is true.
|
just to live up to my reputation i better ask a stupid question at this point.....is the black mark permenent i.e in the paintwork itself or does it rub or wash off, it could be a blemish in the paintwork and will need to be sorted out having an orange CZC i think i would have noticed quite quickly if i had the same happening on mine

It is permanent, have tried to wash it off but seems to be in the paint work and was def not there a week ago, has baffled me!
Can anyone reccomend a good polish for a black car and how often are you meant to polish?
Am I being blonde? :o)

Hi, I?ve been following this thread for a while to get a feel for the delivery of my wife?s CZC2.
Part of the problem seems to be that Mitsubishi at Cirencester in the UK (The Colt Car Company) is a separate company from Mitsubishi Motors in Japan. There could also be third parties involved in shipping and handling the vehicles.
One thought is that the £3000 reduction MUST be reducing the profit margin on each car significantly. So if they were already being swamped by orders, why did they extend the offer beyond the original end-date of 31 March 2008?
In car production ever since Henry Ford and as refined in the 70s/80s by the Japanese (the Kansai system??), EVERY vehicle planned for manufacture is given a unique identifier. It gets attached to a physical entity once the panels are assembled into a complete body. From that moment on, the maker can track the location of that vehicle through EVERY step of the production process 24/7.
The point is they NEED this info to schedule delivery of components ?just-in-time? AND to manage their cashflow ? the vehicle is costing them right up until the car is delivered and you pay for it. The same data will indicate where your car is and how long average delivery currently is.
If Mitsubishi really isn?t tracking this data, they must be causing problems for themselves and the Colt Car Company in the UK.
In any case if I were a share analyst or one of the bankers lending money to Mitsubishi (or the Colt Car Company), their public statements implying they might not be managing stock or cashflow could seriously my rating of either company. It?s a cold, cruel world out there?.

just got back from my sisters house they were off to a party so instead of leaving them to get a taxi i offered them a lift. i have to say they seem very excited to get a ride in the nice new car and then my brother in law uttered those words that all car drivers dread 'right i'll just grab my harp' (well this is wales) the only reply i could manage was 'ok i guess i better go put the roof down'.
