Battery Use on Digital Camera - rtj70
You don't say what sort of batteries you are referring to. If it' normal AA or AAA and you're not using NiMH rechargeables there's your problem. Cameras take a lot of power and non-rechargeable AA/AAA batteries will run flat in no time.

If you are using NiMH AA/AAA or even Lithium Ion camera batteries there is something wrong.

If you rarely use the camera and want power in the batteries when needed then normal NiMH actually run flat when not used. So take a look at hybrid batteries like the new(ish) Hybrio. They claim to keep their charge for a long time and are quite cheap. The downside is the capacity is not upto the best AA - I have some 2700mAH batteries
