On a flight back from Denmark on Thursday night, I also read that this is hitting the German state of Lower Saxony hard, as they are the single biggest VAG shareholder (18% from memory of reading the article), and derive much of their income from the annual divvy. With profits down, VAG wants to reduce the divvy accordingly this year.
