Satria Neo launched

Comes with 1.3 or 1.6 litre engine and prices starting from £7,995 OTR. Some design input from Lotus.

3,905mm long x 1,710mm wide x 1,420mm high.

A/c with pollen filter standard on the 1.3 range and climate control as standard on all 1.6 models. 1.6 GSX automatic has standard cruise control as standard. Blaupunkt radio with RDS and CD player, compatible with both CDRW and MP3 CDs. GSX can be equipped with a hands-free telephone using the Bluetooth technology built into the stereo system.

All Satria Neo models have front electric windows, steering wheel audio controls, 60:40 split folding rear seats and ample storage and luggage space. With the rear seats up, the storage space in the boot totals 286 litres (0.286 cu m) and with the seats down this increases to 615 litres (0.615 cu m).

All manual transmission models have a five-speed gearbox and a four-speed automatic option is available on 1.6 models. Safety features include; twin airbags, anti-lock braking system with electronic brake distribution, reverse distance sensors, seatbelts with pre-tensioners and anti-submarine seats. Security features include; integrated alarm system with ignition lock protection, immobiliser with a unique encoded transponder, a single exterior lock with free rolling key cylinder to ensure the lock cannot be broken with a foreign object, and a remote central locking system.

Proton Cars has announced free He-Man dual controls worth £500 for ADI-registered driving instructors purchasing a new Satria Neo.

The Satria Neo delivers both excitement and economy in one car, featuring a Lotus-developed ride, plus 16" alloy wheels, electric windows, reverse parking sensors and rear spoiler all as standard - topped off with a centre mounted exhaust and race-inspired bucket seats. Prices start from £10,360 OTR (including metallic paint).

March 2011

Effective as of 28 February, 2011, Proton Cars slashed the price of its Satria Neo models, offering a saving of £1,700. Offering a CamPro 16v engine, the Satria Neo features 16” alloy wheels (GSX models only), electric windows, reverse parking sensors and rear spoiler all as standard and topped off with prominent wheel arches, a centre mounted exhaust and race-inspired bucket seats.

Satria Neo also comes with ABS, EBD and twin airbags as standard.
