Sale or Return. Company went bust ... any advice?

A year a go we gave our Seat Ibiza to Georgia Car Sales in Andover as they offered an allegedly reputable sale or return service. They were part of the Hampshire County Council 'Buy With Confidence Scheme'.

After no joy selling the car, we hadn't heard anything from them for a month or so, so my wife went up there today to find out more. Turns out they went bust at the end of the year and the premises taken over by another garage (who were very helpful). They said that a condition of them taking the land was that all cars were cleared off the forecourt.

So, we have no idea where the car is, phone lines are cut off/ unanswered so we're a bit lost.

We still have the V5 (new style) as that arrived after we gave the car.

It's stolen, isn't it? So report it to the police as stolen. It isn't simply a civil matter of you not having been paid. The car has been taken without your permission, and that is theft.
